EFL Fellowship Lecture series
The Van Eesteren Fellowship is an initiative of the EFL Foundation, which is currently fleshed out with the Van Eesteren Fellowship Lecture series led by Caroline Newton. The fellowship series focuses on design-related research and the power of design to investigate metropolitan issues and subsequently transform them into future-oriented solutions. The lecture series, which is offered online, brings to light various urban design issues with a focus on making the city more sustainable.
For example, the first lecture by Barbara Lipietz (Associate Professor, UCL London) focuses on the essential role of urban planning and area development in achieving a future-proof and socially-responsible society. The city is seen as the engine for economic growth and the fabric for realising an integrated society.
