Book about the transformation of the New Dutch Waterline and the Defence Line of Amsterdam

The (bilingual) book is about the transformation of the Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie and the Stelling van Amsterdam. The book wants to show how the Netherlands has creatively dealt with this great piece of heritage in the Dutch landscape. The book wants to get the reader thinking about the significance of the lines in a spatial-geographical sense and in a (landscape) architectural sense. By carefully describing and recording how the Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie came into being, also on an administrative and organisational scale, it can serve as an example for other large-scale heritage projects in the Netherlands and abroad.
