Van Eesteren Fellowship Lecture Series 2021
The EFL foundation announces a new initiative, the Van Eesteren Fellowship Lecture Series.
This series of lectures, which is offered online, will highlight various urban planning issues with a focus on making the city more sustainable. The fellowship, led by Caroline Newton, uses design-based research to investigate metropolitan issues and then transform them into future-oriented solutions.
The first lecture by Barbara Lipietz (Associate Professor, UCL London) focuses on the essential role of city planning and area development in achieving a future-proof and socially-responsible society. The city is seen as the Growth Engine for economic growth and the fabric for realising an integrated society.
The search for the metropolis of the future continues, with each lecture of the Fellowship Lecture Series offering a new perspective.
You can register here for the first lecture on 10 February.
