English-language publication with the working title: 'The City as a System: Future Urban Regions'. In this book, the city is seen as a system, a combination of different functions, processes, flows and connections. The research focuses on the complexity of the city, in which the urban designer primarily focuses on the city as a system: where does this lead the design process, and what are the new possibilities for urban structures?
